Roger de Paz obtained his B.Sc. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from Universitat Autonòma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2018 and his M.Sc. in Applied Materials Chemistry from Universitat de Barcelona in 2022. During his master’s studies, he worked on the synthesis of CoFe2O4@Ni nanoparticles by thermal decomposition and its exchange coupling interaction. From 2019 to 2022 he worked for Avient in Materials microscopy in the nanotechnology department. His current studies are focused on the growth of Ni-based thin films with a hierarchic meso and macroporous structure for water splitting and fuel cell applications. His PhD position at UAB is funded by the NICKEFFECT project.
