Michael Escobar

PhD student
Michael Escobar obtained his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia in 2016 and his M.Sc in Materials Science and Engineering from the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany in 2020. During his Master’s thesis, he worked on the synthesis and characterization of flexible and electrically conductive 3D networks of PEDOT:PSS. Currently, at the UAB, he is working on his PhD on the aqueous electrodeposition of hydroxyapatite (HA) and Ag NPs-HA and ZnO-HA composite films with antifouling performance as part of the European Training Network “BIOREMIA” funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement no. 861046.
