Konrad Eiler

Post-doctoral Researcher

Konrad Eiler obtained his B.Sc. in Materials Science from TU Darmstadt in 2012 and his M.Sc. from TU Berlin in 2014. His studies, focused on coatings and surface analysis, were followed by a 2.5-year fellowship at CERN in Geneva working in R&D for superconducting applications. He was a PhD Research Fellow in the ITN mCBEEs, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. He defended his PhD at UAB in 2021. His PhD work focused on the electrodeposition of mesoporous metallic thin films with the potential to be used in energy conversion systems. During 2021-2022 he has been a postdoctoral fellow at the CIDETEC Technological Center in San Sebastian.
