PhD Student

Alberto Quintana graduated in Physics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2013, having completed his final degree project in our group. He obtained a Master Degree in Materials Science and Nanotechnology at UAB in 2014. He has been working on the synthesis of molybdenum oxides films and nanostructures by means of electrodeposition with tunable mechanical properties. He also participated, in collaboration with the Technological Centre CETEMMSA, on the synthesis of doped nanoparticles for electroluminescent devices. His PhD Thesis copes with the ERC SPIN-PORICS Consolidator Grant (led by Prof. Sort), whose aim is the study of voltage driven magnetoelectric effects in porous materials and their integration into novel energy-efficient spintronic applications.
