Detailed CV

Dr. Eva Pellicer is a Ramon y Cajal Researcher at UAB. She got the PhD in Chemistry ("Science and Technology of Materials" program) in 2005 from Universitat de Barcelona (UB). Before joining the UAB as a Beatriu de Pinós fellow, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Electronics Department, UB (2005-2006) and at the Catalan Institute of Nanotechnology (2007-2008). She has performed postdoctoral research stays at Bioforsk (Norway) and ETH-Zürich. Dr. Pellicer has authored or co-authored over 155 articles, which have received more than 2450 (h=28) citations, and has given more than 40 invited/plenary talks both at national and international meetings (e.g. 3DMR 2011, ISMANAM 2012, Thermec 2013, ISMANAM 2013 and 26th Deutsche Zeolith-Tagung). She has received several prizes throughout her career like the Westinghouse Prize in 2005 from the Institute of Metal Finishing (UK) and the "Science As Art" from MRS Spring Meeting in 2014 or the Spanish L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science (2014) and L’Oréal-UNESCO International Rising Talents (2015). Her current research interests include the synthesis of multifunctional metallic films, foams and micro/nanostructures by electrochemical methods and of ordered mesoporous metal oxides and nanocomposites by wet chemistry procedures. She is also involved in teaching activities in the "Nanoscience and Nanotechnology" degree and in coordination activities in the "Nanotechnology and Materials Science" official master program at UAB. She has supervised the PhD Thesis of six students and is currently supervising the work of four PhD candidates. She was the coordinator of the European project "Development of Sustainable Interrelations between Education, Research and Innovation at WBC Universities in Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials where Innovation Means Business" and, at the present, she is Training Manager of the SELECTA European Training Network, Spanish Principal Investigator of the mCBEEs European Training Network, Co-Principal Investigator of a national project from the National Programme for Research aimed at the Challenges of Society and vice-chair of the e-MINDS European COST Action in the field of electrodeposition and miniaturization.
