Post-doctoral Researcher: Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual fellowship

Aliona Nicolenco is currently a post-doctoral researcher at UAB. Her research focuses on the design of advanced porous metallic materials by different synthetic approaches (e.g. electrodeposition, dip coating) and the evaluation of their magnetoelectric effects driven by strain gradients. Following her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from Moldova State University, she was awarded her Ph.D. degree in Electrochemistry in 2018 from Vilnius University, funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (SELECTA European Training Network). The Ph.D. project included the “green” electrochemical synthesis and structural characterization of Fe-based alloys and composites, as well as the investigation of their enhanced functional properties (mechanical, magnetic, corrosion/wear). She was awarded a Marie Sklodowska-Curie individual fellowship.
