Jordina Fornell defended her PhD Thesis in 2012 and pursued a post-doctoral stay at MIT (Prof. Schuh’s Group), funded by a Marie Curie Fellowship (FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IOF). At the moment, Dr. Fornell is investigating the mechanical properties of metallic glasses and shape memory alloys at the macroscopic and submicron scales. Her research experience abroad also includes a 4 months stay at OCAS (Arcelor-Mittal) in Gant (Belgium), 4 months at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and 4 months at the University of Sao Carlos (Brazil). So far, Dr. Fornell has published more than 30 research papers. |
