Matteo Cialone is currently a postdoctoral researcher at UAB funded by the ERC SPIN-PORICS project. His research focuses on the implementation of innovative solutions to increase the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the concept formulated in the field of the modulation of the magnetic properties of nanoporous materials through the electric field. He received his M.Sc. in physics at the Freie Universitaet of Berlin. During his master thesis, he studied the magnetoelectric effect on artificial two-phase multiferroics materials at BESSY II synchrotron via Photoemission Electron Microscopy.  Afterwards, he conducted his Ph.D. studies working in the Italian Institute of Metrology and in the University of Torino, founded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (SELECTA European Training Network). His PhD was focused on the synthesis (sputtering, electrodeposition) and characterization (structural, magnetic, mechanical) of fully-dense and nanostructured Fe-based alloys.
