PhD student

Irati Golvano graduated in Electronics Engineering at the Mondragon University in 2010, after completing her final degree project at Fagor Brandt in Orleans (France). She obtained her Master Degree in Photonics at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2011 and a Master Degree in Nanotechnology and Materials Science at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2012. Her PhD work focuses on the study of electrodeposited alloys (e.g., Co-In) with tunable magnetic and mechanical behavior, with particular attention on the correlation between microstructure (studied by electron microscopy and diffraction techniques) and the resulting physical/chemical properties. So far, she has published 4 papers, one of them in Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group).
